On 15 July 2026, OSSEC Inc. successfully conducted an awareness session on the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the Responsibilities of Data Protection Officers (DPOs) at the Samudra Ballroom, Taj Samudra, Colombo.

Conducted by Dr. Thusitha Abeysekara, the session brought together over 120 professionals, including CEOs, Heads of Legal, IT professionals, lawyers, and senior decision-makers from diverse industries.

The session covered key areas such as Introduction to Data, the PDPA, data protection principles, and the responsibilities of Data Protection Officers. Participants gained practical insights into managing personal data responsibly while strengthening organizational awareness, accountability, and data protection practices.
